#329) Current Events

First, Mo Donegal won the Belmont Stakes in New York yesterday. He was the favorite of eight horses in the race. That’s him, both above and to the left here. Isn’t he beautiful? He’s a bay son of Uncle Mo, a very good stallion standing at Coolmore Ashford in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky.

Second, the Tony Awards (for stage) are scheduled for broadcast on TV tonight. After the debacle of the Oscars this year, I look forward to what I hope will be a classy show.

Finally, I’ll be talking more about this later in the week, but I want to give you a little advance notice. Summertime affords me the opportunity to travel. I’ll be taking a trip later this upcoming week for about a week. I plan to be completely off the grid, so will not be able to post anything during this vacation excursion, which thrills me! I hope my readership will remain faithful and come back when I come back.

  1. To clarify, I’m thrilled to be able to detoxify and get completely away from technology. I’ll miss posting here. But I have stories written for this upcoming week, and for when I return.
